Belinda Morris
Managing Director
Belinda has over 25 years’ experience working on environmental markets in emerging and developed markets. She has lived and worked in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Most recently she managed the Packard Foundation’s Climate and Land Use Program and was a member of the Foundation’s mission investing team, participating in the origination and due diligence of all the foundation’s program-related investments (PRI) in the climate and land-use. At the Packard Foundation she identified the need for additional catalytic capital for investments in sustainable land use and helped structure and launch the Terra Silva Fund with the MacArthur Foundation.
Christian del Valle
Strategic Advisor and Advisory Board Chair
Christian co-founded and led Althelia (2011-2020), a fund management company specializing in impact investing and the sustainable management of nature. Within Althelia, Christian co-designed and launched multiple funds making international investments to finance the transition towards sustainable use of land and maritime spaces. Althelia, now Mirova Natural Capital, with over 600 million euros in assets under management, was sold in 2020 to the Natixis Group, to become the group’s spearhead in natural investment solutions. Before creating Althelia, Christian helped create and lead the climate finance and markets activity of BNP Paribas – Corporate Investment Banking (2005-2011) where he was instrumental in the innovation and development of trading and structuring financing of climate projects.
Andreanne Grimard
Investment Portfolio Director
Andreanne has spent the past 15 years working on natural climate solutions with a focus on small farmers and fair and sustainable supply chains. In her role as ESG & Impact Director for Urapi Sustainable Land Use Fund, she contributed to raising capital and sat on the internal investment committee. Previously, she was Director of Solidaridad North America and Project Manager at the Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit, where she convened agribusiness, governments and NGOs to co-develop financial solutions to agricultural drivers of deforestation.
Karin Verstralen
Impact/ESG Director
Karin is an impact, ESG and business and human rights professional with experience in the financial sector, industry, civil society and international development agencies. She worked for FMO (the Dutch development finance institution) for over 15 years, where she pioneered investments in natural capital solutions and built and grew a sector leading impact and ESG management practice. Prior to that she designed, supervised and evaluated rural development projects across the global south for several multilateral development organizations. Karin is on the Expert Board of the Althelia Climate Fund.

Sylvain Goupille
Sylvain is an entrepreneur and committed investor and business angel, focused on sustainable land-use, impact investment, climate action and financial innovation. He is founder and MD of Octobre Earth and Cofounder and former MD of Althelia Ecosphere/Mirova Natural Capital. Previously, Sylvain was Head of Carbon Finance at BNP Paribas.
Andrew Mitchell
Andrew is an international thought leader on sustainable finance and the protection of natural capital. He is Vice Chair of the Stewardship Council of the Task Force on Nature Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). He is the founder of and current senior advisor to Global Canopy.
Larry Band
Larry is an advisor to foundations and family offices implementing impact investing strategies, and to nonprofit organizations addressing finance and policy. Previously, Larry worked for 20 years as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, advising corporations on a variety of strategic and financing transaction.
